TRE In unity we can help...

The recent and continuing earthquakes in Haiti have rocked more than the island, they have rocked the world.

As news broke about the terrible devastation that had happened Talk Radio Europe braodcaster and owner Maurice Boland announced that the radio station would be raising funds to send directly to Haiti where it could best be used to save lives, especially childrens lives.

The Ark have had an eight year relationship donating to International Child Care Ministries, a charitable organisation that is part of the Free Methodists of America church, and Jean Smith, one of our senior members has regularly collected and supported their efforts.

The Haiti Food Fund was established to enable ICCM to feed as many children as possible in the Free Methodist Church for as many days as the supplies last.  We've been feeding thousands of unsponsored children ever since this fund was begun.

The massive amount of love and support was able to provide hot meals for the children of Haiti and has been able to give them hope once again for their lives. There are many more starving and malnourished children who need food to survive.

Jean Smith heard of Talk Radio Europe's appeal, and contacted them with the details of ICCM's work in Haiti, and Maurice was immediately interested in sending donations to them via the Ark.

At the same time Rory Leader of Estepona Golf, a local golf course, offered the whole golf course to Talk Radio Europe to organise a charity fund-raiser, with ALL funds raised going to the Haiti relief fund run by ICCM.

It has now been decided to hold this charity event on February 5th 2010, with all funds raised going directly to ICCM, the cost entry into this golfing tournament will be 50€ per head including buggy, and teams of four are encouraged to book into the event by speaking to Darren Clarke directly at the Estepona Golf Club on (+34) 952 937 605.

Stan Boardman and Kenny Lynch have also agreed to support the charity and will be there competing on the day. This despite the fact that they are then scheduled to journey to Portugal to take part in the Jimmy Tarbuck charity tournament.

Don't let them down, support what they are doing.

Talk Radio Europe are also arranging a Gala Ball, where Stan Boardman and Kenny Lynch have also agreed to perform, and which will be a star studded night out not to be missed.

Full details of this will follow.

Please encourage everybody you know to support this fund-raiser, the plight is horrific in Haiti, if everyone pulls together, we can make a difference.

It is important to point out that ICCM have announced:

"All contributions to the Special Projects Fund, unless otherwise designated, will go for Haiti earthquake relief and recovery.

100% of contributions to these special funds goes to the intended purpose.  We subtract no administrative cost for these funds."
